We Start With the Problem.
Not the Technology.
Ananse Automation is a technology consulting and software development company built for one purpose: helping small and mid-sized businesses replace manual, disconnected work with technology that actually fits how they operate.
Why Ananse?
A name about connection, not coincidence.
In Akan folklore, Ananse is known as a figure of wisdom, cleverness and storytelling — closely associated with intricate, interconnected webs.
We took the name as a reminder of what good technology should do: connect the different parts of a business — its data, its workflows and its customers — into one coherent system, instead of leaving them scattered across spreadsheets and disconnected tools.
Understand First. Build Second.
We don’t lead with AI.
We don’t lead with automation.
We don’t lead with software.
We lead with a question: what is making this business harder to run than it needs to be? The answer determines whether the right fix is better data, a simpler workflow, an AI assistant, a website, or software built from scratch.
That’s the discipline behind everything we build — including our own products.
Principles We Work By
Problem Before Technology
We don’t recommend a tool until we understand what’s actually broken.
Honesty About What’s Ready
If something is still in development, we say so — not after you’ve signed up.
Built to Fit, Not to Impress
The simplest solution that solves the problem beats the most sophisticated one that doesn’t.
Small Business Economics
We design for teams that need results without enterprise budgets or overhead.
Practical Over Trendy
We use AI and automation where they solve a real problem — not because they’re fashionable.
Long-Term Thinking
Systems should be able to grow and change as the business does.
We Build Our Own Products, Too.
Alongside client work, we’re building Ananse’s own suite of products — including Innexa, our hotel operations platform, and other tools for professional services and hospitality businesses. It’s the same approach we bring to every engagement: understand the operation, then build the right system around it.
See What We’re BuildingWe’d Like to Understand Your Business.
Every engagement starts with a conversation about how your business actually operates — not a sales pitch about technology you don’t need.
